The only surprise in any given baseball season would be for every team that made the playoffs the previous year to be back in the playoffs the next year. In a sport with constant turnover from year to year in terms of playoff teams, why is it that the intelligentsia constantly picks the same teams to make the playoffs year after year? Where is the outside-the-box thinking?
According to the intelligentsia, there are a “super-seven” group of teams that are surefire contenders for the upcoming season. Our predictions for this season will surprise many – we have 5 of those 7 teams missing the playoffs entirely.
